How Budget Bliss, LLC handles the information you choose to give us, and what we do not do with it.

Scope of this policy

This policy describes how Budget Bliss, LLC ("Budget Bliss", "we", "us") treats information in connection with https://budgetbliss.io and the text message programme described in our TCPA Policy.

Budget Bliss publishes general information about how Medicare coverage works and sends text alerts to people who ask for them. Budget Bliss, LLC is not a licensed insurance agency. We do not sell insurance, do not hold carrier appointments, do not receive commissions, do not complete enrollment paperwork and do not submit applications to any plan or to Medicare. Nothing on this site is insurance advice, a quote, a recommendation or an offer of coverage.

Information we collect

Information you give us

The only form on this site is the text alerts sign-up on our get text alerts page. It asks for your first name, last name, mobile phone number and state, and it asks you to tick a consent box if you want to receive messages. You may also send us information voluntarily by email or by replying to one of our messages.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider may record standard technical details when a page is served, such as the request time, the page requested, a truncated or full IP address and a browser user-agent string. This information is used to serve and secure the site. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in the Cookie Policy.

Information we do not ask for

We do not ask for your Medicare number, Social Security number, date of birth, financial account details, or any information about your diagnoses, prescriptions or medical history. Please do not send that information to us.

How we use information

  • To send the text messages you consented to receive, and only the categories of message listed in our TCPA Policy.
  • To answer a message or email you send us.
  • To keep a record of the consent you gave, including the exact disclosure text shown to you at the time.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website.
  • To comply with law and with the rules of mobile carriers and messaging providers.

We do not use your information to make decisions about your eligibility for anything, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Mobile information and text message consent

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except for aggregators and providers acting solely to transmit the messages you asked for.

Your consent to receive text messages is separate from every other agreement on this site, is never pre-selected for you, and is never required in order to buy anything. The full terms of the programme, including the message categories, are in the TCPA Policy.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share it only:

  • with service providers that host the site or transmit messages on our behalf, under contracts limiting them to that purpose;
  • when you ask us to, or direct us to send information somewhere;
  • to comply with a law, subpoena or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of any person;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the receiving party remains bound by this policy for information collected under it.

We never share mobile opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was given, and for as long as records of consent and opt-out must be retained under applicable law and carrier rules. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified.

Your choices and rights

  • Stop messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You may also email [email protected] and ask to be removed.
  • Ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
  • Ask us not to sell or share your personal information. We do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the first place.
  • Control cookies through your browser, and through the banner shown on your first visit.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. To exercise any right, email [email protected] from the address you used with us, or tell us the mobile number you gave us so we can locate your record. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to the information we hold to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct the text alerts programme to them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the revised version will be posted on this page. Material changes to the text message programme are reflected in the consent language shown at sign-up, which applies only to consent given after the change.
